Zak, a partner, originally joined Battery in 2010. He worked as an analyst and an associate before returning to the firm in 2016 after graduating from business school. His focus includes private equity and growth equity investments in software, information services and enterprise technology. Zak is active in Battery’s activities in both Europe and North America. Currently, he is involved with Battery’s investments in Craftview (composed of es2000, Gilde Software, KS21, Moser, OS Datensysteme and WinWorker), easy software, VertiGIS (composed of AED-SICAD, Dynamic Design Group, EDP, Geocom Group, ibR Geoinformation, KMS, Latitude Geographics, Mapcom Systems, SynerGIS and TOPO graphics), Forterro (composed of 123Insight, Abas Software, BPSC, Clip Industrie, Infocube, Jeeves, myfactory, Orderwise, Proconcept, Proffix, Silog and Sylob), Shiftmove (formerly Avrios/Vimcar) and Vita Mojo. Zak was previously involved with Battery’s investment in Mendix (acquired by Siemens). While getting his MBA from the Harvard Business School, Zak worked with the new owners of Planet DDS, a vertical SaaS practice management solution, on various operations improvement initiatives. Zak also holds a BS in economics-finance from Bentley University.
