Mr. Sand joined the firm in 2016. As a Director in the European Transactions group, based in London, he is responsible for sourcing, analyzing and closing real estate acquisitions and joint venture development opportunities in Europe. Additionally, he focuses on sourcing and managing Harrison Street’s relationships with operators and developers within the areas of specialty residential real estate. Prior to joining Harrison Street, Mr. Sand was an Associate at AIG Global Real Estate involved in establishing and expanding the European alternative sectors investment platform by acquiring and developing student housing and multifamily assets in the UK. Additionally, he gained extensive exposure in all other real estate sectors in Europe. Previously, Mr. Sand worked at Deutsche Bank in Berlin, Germany, where he acted as Credit Analyst for Commercial Real Estate on a pan-European basis. Mr. Sand received his Master’s Degree in Corporate Finance (Diplom-Kaufmann) in Germany and is proficient in spoken and written English, German, French and Luxembourgish.
