Sandy Nixon is a founding partner who leads the firm’s Business and Finance practice. His client work focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and tax and succession planning. Within corporate finance, he advises both lenders and borrowers on financing strategies in various industry segments. In the area of tax and succession planning, Sandy works alongside both corporations and private individuals with respect to wealth management, tax driven reorganizations and transition or exit strategies. In addition to serving an extensive client base, he acts as point person for the firm’s national and international relationships. Outside the office, Sandy has worked alongside a range of charitable, community and volunteer organizations, and serves as a director of several private companies. Sandy has extensive experience in transactions across a wide range of industry sectors including manufacturing, utilities, wholesale and retail trade, transportation and warehousing, finance, insurance, and leasing, with matters spanning Canada, the U.S., and Europe.
