Holding a first-class honors degree in Engineering from Trinity College Dublin and a Masters in Business Administration from London Business School, Ian formerly led the Corporate Development and Strategic Analytics team at Paddy Power PLC. He was also a Director in the Technology Investment Banking teams at Lehman Brothers, Nomura and Credit Suisse in London and managed a range of M&A, equity and debt financing transactions. He joined Cardinal Capital in 2016 and, as a Director in Cardinal Private Equity, has been a key member of the investment team of a number of high profile Carlyle Cardinal Ireland (CCI) investments and is currently a board member of the holding companies of McCauley’s Pharmacy and The City Bin Co.
