Bio

Gabriel D. Petcu is a Managing Director in Cowen’s Mergers and Acquisitions group. Mr. Petcu has provided strategic advice to public and private companies for more than a decade and has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions having advised on transactions valued in excess of $30 billion. Prior to joining Cowen, Mr. Petcu was an M&A banker at BofA Merrill Lynch where he focused on large capitalization transactions across multiple industry sectors. Earlier in his career, Mr. Petcu was with the Healthcare Group at Goldman, Sachs where he focused on healthcare mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Petcu started his finance career at Morgan Stanley in the Equity Capital Markets group. Mr. Petcu received a BS in Economics and Finance from New York University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
